As the leading American brewer,
Anheuser-Busch's commitment to quality is and always will
be our number one priority and a fundamental ingredient for
our success. Beyond our commitment to quality, however, many
things contribute to our success, including our leadership
in efforts to promote alcohol awareness and education. That's
why we have developed advertising, programs, and sponsorships
that help promote the responsible consumption of our products
and address problems such as underage drinking and drunk driving.
In fact, Anheuser-Busch has been promoting the responsible
use of its products since the early 1900's with its "Budweiser
Means Moderation" ads.
First and foremost, we are governed by a voluntary
Beer Institute Advertising
and Marketing Code and by our own International Advertising
and Marketing Code. Second, we were the first brewer to develop
its own College Marketing Code
and distribute it to colleges across the country.
Advertising Gauntlet
Ever wonder how an Anheuser-Busch advertisement is brought
to life? Someone has an idea, but just how difficult is it
for that idea to become an ad? Check out the gauntlet
that an Anheuser-Busch ad idea must pass through before it
becomes an ad and reaches the general public.
